Why do you choose to stay at home? Kids, disabilities, preference or any other reason? Are you happy to stay home? I am 20 year old stay at home mom and I LOVE my job. Nothing is more important to me than raising my little girl and taking care of things around my home for my family. I am very happy to stay home with my baby. These days its not so bad...you can attend college online and even make a little extra cash online. www.mypoints.com www.zazzle.com/jezzikabret* www.mylot.com www.globalmarkettest.com (might need to google it if i got the URL wrong) These are all great sites for anyone who stays at home. I also recommend University of Maryland University College for online courses. www.umuc.edu if thats not correct just google the name of the college.

I've been a stay at home person up until now. I was going to college and did not have the time to take to work. I was taking 5 classes and each class required about 3-5 hours of homework each day. So I mean if I wasnt doing homework then I was sleeping, eating or having some sort of fun. Back last april I became pregnant and had to quit school. I went to look for a job, but found nothing. I was going to work for awhile to earn some money to save back for when my baby got here. So here I am now, sitting on the pc with a 2 month old in his swing next to me sleeping. I love him more than anything in the world and would love to just stay at home with him forever, but I've been puttin in apps lately. I need a job really bad in order to afford his stuff. My husband is tring to make money, but there are no jobs around us. We have more money going out than we do coming in.

I love being at home to be there for my kids. I'm trying to keep my house in order now that i'm home. I'm working on the computer, but its when I feel like doing it. I get out once a week to have lunch with my friend, cause you need some time for you, and then its back at home where I belong. I also went to school online through Penn Foster, which made it easy with three kids.

Staying at home is a decision my fiance and I made together. He wants to be able to provide for all our family's financial needs, while I be his assistant, and take care of the personal needs of the family. It's beautiful. We work hand in hand. Our business office is home-based so I am able to help him with whatever he needs, and also attend to the needs of the children. I believe that this is the best thing I have done for my family because I see that my children need so much of my attention as they grow up.

I stay home because it is the most rewarding thing that I could do. I have worked at many different jobs and hated them all. When you are working for money that is what you get for your time...money. Money is great I guess, you need it to buy stuff and pay mortage payments and all, but once you have everything you need, money is just money. You can buy alot of things with it but you can't buy back the time you wasted making it. I was watching Kenneth Copeland one day and his daughter was on tv talking about time. She said "All God give us is time, and we exchange that time for what we want from our lives." I have never been happy at a paying job because whn it comes down to it, what i want in exchange for my time is love, affection, and the emotional attachement of others to me. Staying home gives me that. I don't have any children yet, but i have ahusband that likes to be taken care of, a very needy dog, and a spoiled cat that i treat and love as my children. I also have the house to care for a an acre of land that needs to be landscaped and gardened and tended to when there isn't snow. When I have the opportuinity to make money and still be able to take care of my responsibilities at home do, but I consider maintaining my home and the quility of the lives of those living in it to be my real job in life. On another note, ar eyou haveing much luck with Zazzle? I have a Zazzle account and I have only made 2 t'shirts so far, becase I'm unsure on how to go about getting customers for my stuff. Do you have any tips?

i work but I do love my time at home. I'm a homebody at heart but can't afford to just be home. I did work from my home when my kids were young and earned enough to raise them and still be there for them.

I think the best work I can do is with in the walls of my home. It isnt easy but it is so worth it. No one can love my kids like I do so I figure they are in the best care they can be with me. Thank you for this post. I love it to see people looking at the job of a stay at home mom as a positive thing.

I would love to be a stay at home mom especially since I home school my kids too. However, we just can't afford for me to not work. I hope to be able to quit soon as I am trying to save money so that we will have a good savings when I quit. Congrats to you for being able to be there for your daughter!!

I stay at home as I have four children, to go to work would mean that I would have to be earning enough to pay for childcare for a start as my husband is the main bread winner and works full time. I dont want my children to have to go to school all day and then have to go to childcare after, I want to be there for them when they go to school and come home. I want to be there for them when they have problems and need me. I too love being here for them all and besides which when they are ill its usually a two week thing with having four of them, and what job would tolerate me having that much time off. Plus looking after children is a full time job and more in itself, I couldnt imagine how I would possibly manage to go to work and then come home and run a house as well!

I just got married two months ago and I chose to be at home for now, until I got used to being Mrs. lol Im not used to all the things here in US, since i just got here, so Im still on adjustment stage. Once I get used to things here, I might get a job then. For now, I enjoy being at home and a housewife. Since Im home I do things too, to make money somehow, since I have a lot of free time. I have an online job and im enjoying it. Im planning to study too, but I don't know yet. You have a very adorable baby!

I stay at home because I believe it's best for my children and childcare is way too expensive. I had 3 1/2 years of college under my belt before I got married. My husband got a job so we relocated. Needless to say, I haven't finished school yet. I really can't seem to find a job worth leaving home for. My children are too important. I tried to go to work when my daughter was 10 months old, but being at daycare made her sick every week. She had to go to the ER 3 times and I only worked for 3 months. My husband and I decided that it was best for me to stay home. Both financially and personally!
