There are mobiles that gives a lots of storage space for contacts. This will help you avoid carrying your digital diary or a diary which contains names and phone numbers. For surfing the net you have a laptop, so dont go for mobiles that allows you to surf or blackberrys.

I won't think it a good idea to purchase a new mobile phone just in want of being trendy. Well, if you can well afford such lavish phones, fair enough, just buy one. If you think you should consider your budget, then just get a less expensive one with less flashy functions.
