i have 5 credit cards in my possession right now and i use all four of them, i know it seems too much but you can't blame me, as a breadwinner i have constant food purchases and my salary from my work is being spent on utilities and other bills. i am having a hard time managing my finances now and it seems like i have more outflow than inflow. the extra income i earn from my internet sidelines are being use to pay part of my credit card bills. i cannot complain and though i really have hard time paying for them i am very thankful that i have 5 cards to support my family's needs. how about you? do you have credit card? do you find it hard to pay also?

I only use debit cards - debit cards
The only credit cards I ever really had were the store types but once I saw the interest charges I paid them up fast and got rid of them. Since they came out all I use now is Debit cards and I have 4 of them and love them. There is no interest and no fees. When I get my check the beginning of the month I put what I need to to pay bills in it. One of my cards Debit cards is from Paypal and any money I earn online goes into it so that one I rarely touch.

I don't have any credit cards now. I used to have one when I lived in the States. It got hard to make the payments at times. So, once I paid it off, I cut it up and never looked back.

No, I don't have any credit cards. I only have a debit card. I have to be careful to write my purchases down so I don't spend more that what is in my account.

I have one credit card. I don't use it anymore. I'm going to pay it off and be done with it. Credit cards just put you into a deeper debt. I'm doing the Dave Ramsey method of getting rid of my debts, and even though things are really tight and tough I know it will pay off in the end.

its easy to pay-off debts if you have no family to support to, i mean if you live alone, in my case although i am still single i can not afford to loose my cards because of its big help for my purchases.

No, I do not own any...thing is I do not want credit cards. I only maintain a debit card, which I use for online purchases as well as for weekly trip to the grocery. I've heard a lot of people with the same problem as yours, and it really discourages me to apply for a credit card.

I currently have three credit cards and am using only two of them. I plan on paying one off which will leave me with one with a current balance. It can be tough paying the cards off if your balances are high because of the high interest rates and the finance charges. It is good to have one card for emergency purposes. I try and use my debit card as much as possible to avoid the fees.

My question for ou is how did you get all so many credit cards here in the Philippines? Don't they require high salary in order for your to be approved? I'm just curious because I want to have one here in the Philippines.

So, how are they going to assess me if I just got back from Thailand?

Some credit card companies would even give you a pre-approved card if you have a good credit standing.

That's bad idea, paying your debt with another debt. You need to really watch out your spending. It's good practice to pay off your credit card within a month so it won't incur interest. That's another burden to you. I have two card, one company card and one debit card. I only used them outside the country where you need to have a credit card. Just watched out your account and you will be fine.

I use to have 6 visa and mastercards and several department store cards. I was maxed out on all of them. I didn't make enough money to live on. I eventually had to file for bankruptsy. I vowed never to run up credit cards again. I now have 3 cards but am very careful what is charged to them.

Apply for a debit card from Union Bank. This does not need a maintaining balance, all you need is to pay a one time fee. I am using this bank for my paypal account. Hope that helps ;)

I have 6 credit cards and 5 of them with the highest maximums and intrest rates are all in the freezer. I put water in the ziplocs not on the card directly. I have been out of a job for 2 years and I know it is very hard to get out of the debt you are in. I finally have an income coming in but it's a fixed income. I think if you don't have the money to support your needs don't use these cards. It's going to hurt you in more ways than one. I use one credit card regularly and with this card I know I have the money to cover my expenses so I use it to get points towards air miles. I have sure racked up alot in the last little while. But most people don't think with credit cards and that's when having a credit card turns ugly.

I don't have a credit card now, and I don't plan to secure one at this time. I heard stories of overspending and getting into debt because of credit card abuse and mishandling. I sometimes shop on impulse, so it's good that the only money I'll spend is the money that I have at hand, and no more. If I spend all my cash, then it's time to go home. I have the tendency to overspend so I don't want to place myself into that very tempting situation. Good for those who can handle it well, just like you. It can be very useful to those who can use it to their full advantage.

I only have one credit card and I use it only on emergency situation or to buy something that I know I can pay the debt straight away the next month. I dont really like to have a debt and if I had I will try as hard as I can to make it clear. I like to have my saving without a debt and I am glad so far I have no problem with that. I understand that it is more easier for me at the moment becasue I have no children yet, only me and my hubby. we both work and have more than enough money for our need and can save for our future family.. I know it will become harder when we have children..

I have 2, 1 visa and 1 master. I ususlly use this cards for emergency purpose only and I don't have cash in hand. I'll pay it back after a few days to avoid interest. Usually I pay my bills and my family utilities using my salaries. I have to plan my finance carefully so that the problem wouldn't reflect back to me.

I Have two credit cards, but I think that's one to many, I'll cancel one and omly keep one, I can keep track of one card better than if I have more.

I used to have 2 credit cards but decided to have them cut off before husband and I got married. He had his cards cut off as well, now we only buy things we can afford to pay in cash.
