Did you ever buy something and immediately regret it?

Did you ever buy something, maybe something expensive and quickly wish you hadn't? I seem to end up doing this all the time. The most recent purchase was a very expensive matress. I had hoped it would help me to sleep better but it hasn't and then yesterday I saw a mattress that was much better than the one I bought but only half the price! Oh! If only I had waited. What have you regretted buying and why did you regret it?

that's really frustrating jim! that happens to me once in a while! usually when i buy clothes or apparels or shoes or stuffs like that. like, i buy something on impulse and i would see a much better one which i couldn't buy because i've already spent my budget. i've bought a lot of clothes and some few shoes which i only used once or never at all. and its really such a waste. i've already given some of them to my cousins.
as for expensive items, i am usually careful on buying expensive stuffs. i usually stop myself from buying such actually. i'm kind of a little thrifty when it comes to this. but i know i have bought an expensive stuff before which i couldn't really use. i just forgot what it is. ^__^;;

My mum used to buy loads of things and then just give them away.Imoulse buying can be such a problem. Theres actually a science to it, people go to college to learn how to increase impulse buys as part of marketing techniques

Sure they do. Theres nothing haphazard about where goods are displayed in major retailers and theres a whole wealth of tricks they use. For instance, they always spead the staples around the store so that you have to look at more of the store while getting what you really want. That really increases those impulse buys. Theres also a reason why the chocolates etc are displayed at child hight.

i used to, now i'm not allowed to buy anything the first time i see it, if i go back to the store and i still want it, i'm allowed to get it. yup, these rules are self imposed! its kind of a like a 7-second delay, you have to want it, really want it, to go back to the store... if you dont go back then u didn't actually want it that bad
