Host gator problems

I just signed up with Hostgator last night.It has been almost 12 hours and they still haven't sent me info on my site. On the email conformation it said that it takes twenty min but at the end it said semi-dedicated accounts take 2-8 hours. It's been well over that. I bought a year plan with them. I sen them an email a half hour ago and they haven't responded yet. I'm about to cancel and go with someone else. Anyone have problems with hostgator before? I can't explain how angry I am right now. I'm a stay at home mom any my fiance is a full time construction worker but business is slow right now. I was planning on using this site to generate axtra income. But I can't do that without my site. Any suggestions?
