Do you use salt and pepper or herbs and spices to season your food?
I use a wide variety of herbs and spices more than salt. I do use salt too, just more herbs and spices. I like to make my own spice blends for different kinds of food.
I have come up with some very good blends that I have been asked to share with others.
Has anyone got some very good blends they have made?

I am salt fast so do not add any salt to my food because I have high blood pressure but love cooking with pepper, and basil, rosemary, thyme, and oregano and lots of other spices including ginger and cinnamon too. I have a whole kitchen counter lined with herbs and spice containers which I use regularly in my cooking. I also use garlic and onion in my tomato sauce for pastas.I love to use rosemary for pork roasts and for some beef roasts also.

The three I refill ofter are the Onion Basil, mixed herbs, and the Sesame Ginger. I love to try new combinations and even on new things. A touch of cinnamon or nutmeg on pork roast is also very good.

I use them all. I like to add salt separately and won't use things like garlic salt. I do love garlic though! That and lemon pepper and minced onions are the three most used spices we use. I also grow garlic.
Salt and pepper go on about everything.

I grow garlic as well. We have an herb garden also. I love fresh herbs. I use a lot of lemon pepper, too. The one thing I do not use much of is regular salt. I and my grand daughter have High blood pressure. I have to watch the lemon pepper I use because some of it has a lot of salt in it.

I'm a better cook cause of spices.
Without them my food tastes very plain
and is not worth serving!
I hate to admit that.
But it's the truth.
I use spice blends and regular spices too.
But I prefer regular or whole herbs for foods.
Better tasting, more natural.

I think everyone who uses herbs and spices do so to make their food better tasting. I know I do. I like fresh herbs if I have them but more often use dried ones.

If you have not tried using herbs and spices before, start with some simple additions such as parsley, onion, and garlic.
You can also use such things as seasoned salt or lemon pepper. You might like the flavor these add along with salt and pepper.

Herbs and spices are fun to cook with. They can really make the dish sometimes.
