My daughter has a pug. It is about a year and a half old. We have only had her for about a year. She is precious! I would not trade her for the world. She is starting to shed really bad. We have not changed her food. Nothing has changed around the house. This is not a dog that we planned on getting. It just happened that she was at the right palace (maybe the wrong) at the right time. Some boys had her at a fast food place and it ran up to my daughter and started playing with her. The boys told her it was her dog now and ran and jumped in their car and left.Do you have any ideas to stop or at least limit the shedding? We give her baths and brush her every day.

Unfortunately pugs are notorious for shedding. There are some shampoos you can get from a vet that help, but nothing that will ever cure this.
Basically if you own a pug it is something you end up either getting use to, or making the decision to get rid of them.
I have 3 pugs. The shedding is a pain, but we deal with it.

Unfortunately there isn't a lot you can do! Dogs all shed, sometimes it's all year round like my German Shepherd, sometimes it's just twice a year. Sometimes it's very slight as to be thought not to shed like a poodle. I don't know where you live or what the weather is like but I'd guess she's losing her winter coat. Just keep up with the grooming and she should soon be back to normal. I'll swap you........ my dog is losing her coat and my carpet changes colour overnight, as she's at least 4 times bigger that's a lot of hair!!! lol. Only kidding hair or not I wouldn't part with her for anything!
