eyeliner: liquid, pencil or none?

Pencil for the lower lashes as liquid can get into your eyes. I prefere using cake eyeliner for my upper lashes. You have to have a very good eyeliner brush, wet it a bit and load it with cake. If you have a good, thin eyeliner brush you will be able to have a perfectly smooth line and will be able to have a perfect flick at the end of your lash line without looking fake. You just need to practice to get it right!

i also use a pencil eyeliner too! although i would love to try the liquid. and unlike you i usually apply eyeliner to my lower lid. i seldom put eyeliner on my top lid because they usually cannot be seen. i have Chinese/Japanese like eyes that's why. that's is why i also don't put on eyeshadow.

I use liquid eyeliner as it's easier to apply, and you get a cleaner line. because I use black liner most of the time, I just do half the lower lid, from outer corner fading to the middle, as doing the whole line looks too heavy. sometimes I use really brightly coloured liners. my favourites are a red one with gold glitter and a bright metallic green one.

I use neither!lol.

It all depends on the look that I am going for. I use liquid and I use pencil. I manly use the liquid on the upper eye lid. And pencil for the bottom eye lid. I don't have a problem using either.

Most days I don't wear eyeliner at all. When I am going out and want to highlight my eyes, I use a pencil on the lower lids. I am not very coordinated when it comes to putting anything on my upper lids. It's always uneven and looks sloppy. I do everything as easy and simple as possible.

I do not use any on a regular basis, but when i DO happen to use eyeliner i use a pencil. Liquid is WAY too hard to apply. I think it would take a LOT of practice and i dont wear it enough to care either way!!

I have both liquid and pencil but my liquid might be dried up by now, that is how often I wear makeup. LOL I have a black and also a brown pencil and will wear one or the other, don't make a difference to me really. I do use the pencil on the bottom also. As for talent? I have no talent even when it comes to putting on makeup, maybe that is one reason I don't like to wear it. LOL

hello jillhill!I'll usually use powdered eyeshadow and try to put it as liner on a brush.I don't have a liquid eyeliner or a pencil liner.Weird I know!But I'm getting an eyeliner sooon and I'll tell you which one I got!Hope this helps!

I don't use eyeliner. I'm afraid I might poke my eye. I've tried using them before but I don't think I know how to. It didn't look like there's much of a difference. That's why I didn't try again.

Hi Jill, both my daughter use pencil eyeliner under the eye but I personally never wear make up other than a bit of lippy and mybe eyeshadow and mascara if going out somwhere. They seem to be a dab hand at applying though. Ellie :D

well I like the pencil liners that are kind of smudgy. They are soft and very easy to apply. My favorite is Covergirl Perfect Point Plus. Its self-sharpening! Typically I only apply it to like 3/4 of my lower lid. It makes your eyes stand out, but still looks natural.

I used to use pencil, now I am committed to "the pot." Haha, it's a funny name but it is amazing...its a little pot of cream eyeliner that you apply with a brush. It takes a little getting used to but once you learn how to apply it, it will NEVER smudge. I use the one made by MAC but I heard Estee Lauder makes the same thing and it's also supposed to be good quality. It lasts a really long time so even though you're paying a little extra the first time for the brush (which you will never need to buy again as long as u take care of it) the eyeliner lasts way longer than the averge pencil. I've had the same little pot for at least 4 months now...a pencil never lasted me that long!

I use a pencil since it is much simpler. I only use liquid liner if it's waterproof and they do have waterproof liquid liner, it's by NYC brand cosmetics. Although like you, I find the pencil much simpler. Less mess.
