I don't know if this discussion needs a response or not. I hope I get them though because I know that there are people out there that feel as strongly as I do and I would like to know. I have been getting really interested in animal cruelty and the amount of animals that are taken into shelters because they are strays or their owners don't want them. Some of the abuse that I have been learning about is horrendous. Not just cats and dogs, but horses and other animals. I think animal cruelty has become a terrible problem in our society. People don't realize that animals do think, have feelings and can hurt. I would like people to see about the following two websites. The North Shore Animal League America is the largest no kill shelter in America. They do many wonderful things for animals. There web address is nsalamerica.com. Anybody who believes that animals indeed do have rights needs to visit the Animal Legal Defense Fund and sign the petition to try and pass the Animal Bill of Rights through Congress. And like Bob Barker says, "Have your pets spade and neutered."
