Religion. It sounds good. But religion had made many conflict in many countries. Like in my country, religion made conflicts between them. For some, religion is everything for them, so they could kill other in the nnme of religion.
Some people misused religion for their interest. Some politician use religion to get votes in pbulic election. But after they have been elected, they forget people.
Sometimes I hate religion.

Hi..
I'm sorry you feel that way. I'm actually the type of person who thinks religion is important. I think it's good that we have something... some faith to hold on to. I find it keeps my head level when everything goes wrong, knowing that God is working something out in a way that I may not understand.
It's true that many countries have conflicts over religion. they kill, misuse, gain political advantage... but isn't that the same way with money? and everybody knows that, although it may not be the most important thing to some people, we can't live without money. so.. as far as conflicts are concerned, i think it all comes down to mankind itself. People are the root of all conflicts with all their diverse thoughts, principals and understanding which may as well lead to misunderstandings. That's just how the world is. So, as long as there are people who have thoughts, who can think, who possess will, who can take action... there will alwyas be conflict. Conflict can only go away if all the people in the world have the same thought and will to unite or... if we become extinct.
that's my opinion.

Yay!! my comment got posted. I thought it wouldn't show up, there were some errors when i was submitting. i was worried i would have to type it all over again.
Thank you. It's nice to have someone that agrees.
I'd also like to add that conflict often occurs from the natural instincts of man to defend something that is important to them. and, as we all know, importance is relevant and different from one person to another. I think it helps a bit if we can all be more tolerant and appreciative to differences.

Yup, you are right! Most of the time, religion has nothing to do with God. It is just a set of half-baked beliefs that people cling to and use in order to control others, especially women!! And my, don't people go nuts when their beliefs are challenged? For example, look at Mylot. The hottest discussions are in the religion section. You won't find people attacking one another so much in the cooking, pets, or gardening sections. And imagine the effects of religion at the national and international levels. I wish people would wake up and realize that the most kiddish way to reach God is though some religion, which members of that religion claim to be the absolute "TRUTH". God should be a personal matter, not a national or international affair.
Cheers and happy mylotting!

Well.. we could try to balance how much good comes from faith.. and how much not so good.. Is it religion that makes fights and wars, or is it human beings and human nature? If we didn't have different religions and nations, would we really cease to make war do you think?

hello, i do not blame you for feeling that way... but i guess it does not come with the religion. its the people practicing these religions that causes the conflicts.
there could be two people having the same religion but still different view of life.
Religion helps build our faith, and that is something we do need in times of the troubles you have mentioned. it gives us hope too.
i remember having spoken to one person - i have not forgotten what he has told me when i asked about his religion. he said to me - whatever religion i have, or you have... we are all the same. the important thing is whatever we belive in, our beliefs should arrive at God being the center of it all - no one else.

Do these people and the politicians believe in religion. People need something to believe in, money, fame, or religion. If people dont believe in the so called religion, they will believe in something else. And these other things become a religion. I think it is human natural to believe in something. I live in a place where religion is not popular and seems people dont have a better life.

yeh religion is the cause of conflict because it is worldly.. God does not said to choose a religion.. instead to follow His son Jesus Christ.. then who create or the author of religion? it is not God cause He didn't mentioned it in His Word (The Bible). Who deceives people? it is Satan.. then Satan is the author of religion. :)
