If your topic, that you have posted, is of interest to the members, then responding to the responses quickly helps to keep the threads flowing because your response goes straight to the top of the recent discussions list that you can click to see on the left of your page. This is the list that most people click on to see what the recent discussions are about. Hope this helps in building up your responses to your postings. Try it and look after you have responded to a discussion. Have a great day from Deeeeky.

Yes it also makes your discussion go back to the top of the "discussions my friends started" list too, a lot of people visit that section first when they sign in I do. It's also just good practice to respond when someone responds to your discussion, it is a discussion after all your only supposed to start one if you want to discuss something. People who start a discussion then don't respond to anyones responses annoy me as they seem to have done it just to make money. When a discussion is popular sometimes you end up with hundreds of responses I can understand then if people don't respond to everyone, but people who don't respond to anyone are just money grabbing.

You are right of course and that what's MyLot is all about. We all make money of course but the great reward from MyLot is the friends that we make while being here. The wisdom that is shared between the members is priceless and I don't think that there will be many questions that are not answered in the discussions and we can look at problems in a different kind of light than we did before. Have a great day from Deeeky.

Yes Nancy there are so many types of discussions on this MyLot site. They are all seperate and you can add your own at any time. We all have the same and some different types of topics that there is everything here to please us all. we are all monitored which makes it a pleasure to keep all the nasty ones out as well.

Yes there aren't many places where we can discuss such a diverse range of topics with people from all over the world like we do here. Getting paid for it is just a bonus that keeps us all coming back, I never respond unless I'm actually interested in the discussion.

It does help our discussion, from keeping it on top of the recent discussions list up to making it on the Top discussions and Hot topics section. It also generates additional information, from other potential responders and by continuous flow of discussion about the topic itself. There's more than just simply earning from it, we also get to learn and be informed on things we all thought we already knew. That's where quality comes in, from the way we share and contribute concerning about the topic..

I believe you're referring to the Activity Box on our home pages, my friend. There is also a series of boxes on the right hand side, headed, Today's Top Discussions, Discussions From My Interests, Discussions My Friends Started, and Discussions I've Started. The only time I really use that page and those boxes, is when I first sign on. The rest of the time, I use the links on the left of every page, because I find that easier. Mylot seem to be adding a lot of similar tools each time they update, instead of concentrating on something new and more useful. Brightest Blessings, my dear friend. x

Yes, they're the ones I use. I have a daily routine now, which seems to work quite well, most of the time. Of course, there are always things that sidetrack you... which reminds me, I have an exam to take today! Wish me luck!

Yes, I quite agree with this. If you keep the thread going you earn more. I like it when my responses get commented back on and I have a rather interactive discussion with the poster. It helps me discuss and learn further about a certain topic. Sometimes though, the discussion gets out of the way but I think it's okay as long it is still related with the main topic.

That is why we have to be carefull with our threads. We have to stay on the topic that was posted originally. If we are going onto another subject it is more wiser to start another topic and make further threads with that discussion.

That what I do. I try to always write the response back I got from my discussion. Of course another trick was just try to response back one at one houir interval. Lets see, if you had 10 people response to you, you can always write back one response each hour that guarantee you had 10 hours of always getting at top of recent discussion. But if your topic is hot, you don't need to do that cause its always a gutantee at the top if you had more than 30 ;people write back to you.

That was a point for the members to take in as it reminds them that when a response has been posted it goes straight to the top of recent postings list so that the members can read that particular post.

thanks deeky I had not thought of that and sometimes I get so caught up in responding that I get behind in answering peoples responses. so if I did it more often my response would be on top. great.

Some of the members leave the responses for a day or two so when they come back the have to respond to all of them thier discussion goes to the top many times during the day whilst responding.
