How long do you wait to choose a best response to your discussion?
I try to wait at least a week so that I can be sure to have received all the replies but I see some people choose a best response almost immediately. Is there a best response 'ettiquette' here on MyLot?

I can wait anything up to a month or give a BR the same day. The nature of the post is really what decided me. There are one or two that I won't give a BR to at all. For example I posted one last night asking people to help keep me awake. Some of my friends came to the rescue, and one persuaded me to go to bed! I don't think that it is fair to award a BR as they all came in my hour of need. I think that a week is generally about right though. I still get the odd post to discussions that I posted a month or more ago, even after the BR has been awarded! Happy myLotting and thanks for helping me make this my 800th post.

Well, for me, I agree with those who say it does not have to be done in any one time in reality even. For me, I still have OLD discussions with no Best Response chosen, and then I have many with Best Resonses chosen even if others tend to disagree with my choice as well. It is really in can I relate, and if I think you really tried to respond back in a way you feel could help me out as well.

Choosing a best response depends on the individual. if you think the first persons to respond to your discussion has the most satisfactory response among them you could then choose it but some of us wait to choose when you're sure all the responses are ready. i choose later to encourage so many people to respond to the discussion. at any time if i see that this might be the highest responses to this discussion, then and there i choose the best response.
i don't there is any specific attiquette for choosing best response but to the individual own norms.
