You will love your Hyundai. I bought a used accent in 2000 I loved it, I traded it in on a new 2003 Elantra. I have had this car ever since. I have never had a problem with either of these cars.I have been in several accidents that were other peoples fault, it tore their cars up, very little damage to mine, they are very good, strong cars. I have almost 60,000 miles on mine, I have never even had to have a tune up on it.I sware by these cars.

sunkissed, better take it in for some maintenance. No car is maintenance or trouble free, but I'm glad you've had a great experience. Brian

Wow.. i dont know that Hyundai image in US is very good.. here in Indonesia, people still brainwashed with japanese brand. i think it b'cos that Hyundai is a new player in indonesia automotive market.
I also love to see the design of Santa Fe and i think its the best design for SUV, i think santa fe is so sexy.
Thank You for your comment..

Well, with the numerous models that has been rolled out in the past few years, it is apparent that Hyundai is getting popular.
So far, my experience with Hyundai are good.
Even their smaller compact cars are a breeze to drive!

Hyundai is a good car and image is ok, but as US market is mainly for big and expensive cars due to higher purchasing power. I have an Accent Tornado for last 5 years and trust me it's a troble free car and does not go heavy on your pocket for maintenance.

I bought a new 04 Elantra and have really enjoyed it. I've had just a few problems with it, most of them have been covered by the warranty. I'm a little anxious as my 5 year bumper to bumper (almost) warranty ends in about a month, but I still have the ten year powertrain left on it. I have had some warranty work done on it already, and my dealer has been very good about it. They even had to purchase a $600 part to make a fix and did it without any issue.
It is possible I will be in the market for another car this year, and I would definitely consider another Hyundai.
And in terms of image, their new Genesis luxury car was named car of the year, so that is excellent. The Elantra was ranked highly as well, so I think people open to foreign cars really like it. Those not open to foreign cars won't like any of them. Brian
