Listening to Anime Sound Tracks

Well, I don't really go deep with even the background music that some animes have, though I do have some of them of certain series and listen to them as well, one would be Rurouni Kenshin. Anyway, I listen to them even though I don't know whats being said unless I try to look for their translations. I really feel nice whenever I listen to them. I can't lend or even offer my music player often since they are mostly filled with anime songs, unless the ones who are borrowing also listen to such songs. Sometimes, when I have just finished watching a recent anime, I always get that mixed feeling when I hear the openning or closing themes of that particular anime. I was even wondering if I could play them with a guitar at some unusual event and I'd see the faces of people who you thought that weren't familiar but were Guitar some Death Note or Bleach songs or maybe drum the intro of the Basilisk. How about you guys who also listen to anime music? Feelings that run through you or imaginations along with some of the anime music you often listen to?

If you want to look for anime songs as well as of its lyrics, I usually go to gendou.com Has a nice collection of anime songs. Though I'm not sure if it also has some good old ones since I haven't tried looking for any. I still have to know the original anime title sometimes before searching for it in gendou.

I like J-music. They are unique and sound quite different from western music. Rurouni Kenshin ost is one of the best anime ost for me since there is Siam Shade in there. And now i'm listening to Einsatz ost music (Sakakibara Yui). Nice to hear. I use earphone to hear J-music at work. we know that not many people outside Japan hear anime music. So everytime i hear it i feel like i'm in my own world.

I agree, even if the vocalists are not young, I still like to listen to music from anime series. Well, I guess that goes with J-music too When I hear it loud at some computer shops, I can't help but hum with the rhythm

Hehe! Same thing for me, I listen to them though I don't completely understand the words their saying there! I have just finished my hunter x Hunter marathon, I really liked the series and it's soundtrack too. I believe they changed it's entrance and ending music 5 and 6 times, until they ended the GREED Island episode. I love them all, from "Ohayou (Good Morning)" up to "Moshimo Kono Sekai de Kimi to Boku ga Deaenakatta Nara (If You and I Never Met in This World)." They are all feel-good music, I believe it's all about friendship.

Considering the series as a group of characters in that ensemble, I pretty much agree with its theme being about frienship Indeed, even though I don't completely comprehend the very words being sung, the melody and the emotions that it invokes from us is enough for me

I love listening to anime music. It's interesting because depending on which anime it is, sometimes I relate the music to what was going on in the anime at the time, and sometimes I don't. It just depends on how well the music played to the events, I guess. The anime music I love listening to most is probably from Gravitation. I suppose that's kind of a given since the anime is about music in the first place... but I just can't help getting all excited when listening to certain songs, especially Shining Collection. There are tons of others that I've listened to, and I love when I can find music by voice actors I know as well.

Yeah, the music playing automatically reminds us of that particular scene in which the music was being played in the anime, also reminds us of the emotion within that scene that we could related to. Different music just has that effect on us, 'no?

I love anime music, not so much the instrumental background music, but the opening and closings. My absolute fav are from anime series with rock/grunge-ish type music, like Nana, Beck [Mongolian Chop Squad], and FLCL. :D

I love anime music! I like to memorize the lyrics of the anime soundtracks so I can sing along while listening. I don't usually know the meaning of each songs I like but anyway It's not the meanings I'm after its the songs and tune.

I really do like to listen to anime music even though some people find it odd when I sing along. I did once memorized a Rurouni Kenshin Intro song and I think I also tried the intro of Gate Keepers. I even try to listen to some of them that motivates me to draw Thanks for sharing!
