There are many students who are engaged in job or business along with their studies, particularly students of higher studies.
This not only makes them more mature and realistic but also makes them financially independent and more responsible.
Apart from all these it most importantly makes them a good time manager.
However, the extent of it should not be such that the studies suffer because of it.
what are your views regarding this?????

My brother works part-time while studying full-time (in the field he is working in). My dad is a strong proponent of getting a job while still in school. IMO, the benefits more often outweigh the difficulties. Benefits include:
1) Learning. My dad, a veteran in the work force, says that what you learn working is more valuable and useful than what you learn studying.
2) Something to put on the resume. Work experience will project you from among the applicants, increasing your chances of getting a job.
3) Internship to full-time worker. Internship is much like a long-term job interview.
These benefits are in addition to what you, indianbull, have stated.

My son works 35+ hours and goes to college full time. He's on his own so has full responsibility for his bills, etc. I think it's good that he's on his own because he's learning how to budget and how to shop and independence is good. His grades are just average though because he's getting by the best he can in the time he has. So yes, I do think his grades are suffering.
