Have you ever changed career? If you have, how did you do it? Would you share your opinion or experience on it? I really want to change career. I do not want to work in hospitality (Hotel) anymore (long hours, low pay, shift works, etc).

Yup I did. I used to work in sales or retail environment for more than 8 years. Now my line is simple clerical works in an engineering company. Totally different though with a relatively higher salary. This time I wish to shift back to retailing, I hope I could get a better opportunity soon...

I am an accountant by profession and been in that kind of work for already five years before I thought of changing my career. Some opportunities came and I grabbed it. Suddenly, I'm in the sales business. I became a Store Manager of a known company. From working behind the scene, doing paperworks, cost controlling and auditing, I'm now on the frontline. It's exciting and challenging to be faced in the opposite side of work. I have proven my work and been a very effective manager, but after about three year, I went back to my first love, finance and accounting. Since then, I never left that field till I have reached the post I wanted. Sometimes, we just need a break from our daily routine to realize what we really want to be. Hope you find yours.
