They blocked, Yahoo Mail, Yahoo Messenger, Friendster, YouTube and many more. I can't really blame our boss for having a lot of sites blocked. I understand why they had to. Most of my co-workers use their computers and spend more time in these sites rather than doing their jobs. It was for this reason that our boss decided to have some sites blocked. However, all of us are suffering the consequences. I just hope that what they did is for the best of everyone.

It is quite normal for a company to do that. They don't want to impede you guys from doing what you suppose to do during office hours. I understand that some of you are professional enough to still prioritize their job before surfing sites which is not job related. I think what happened will be for good as I have experience that as well. When they blocked unapproved sites like what you mentioned, I became more efficient, productive and knowledgeable. I hope others in your office take it positively. Anyways, you have all the liberty to surf sites that were blocked outside your office or at the comforts of your home.

Hello dear polofield. I understand that. It is the same with some other companies who prefer their staff to be concentrated in their work instead of using some other social network as to influence their normal work. But I think that so long as everyone is self-conscious, the boss would not have that strict restriction, maybe? Thanks.
