Classroom - A fully equipped IT training room
I know for a fact several of the main reasons people take up IT courses - one big reason is that people see and hear of others working in the IT industry making big bucks and think they should improve their skills and jump on the bandwagon of earning good money. It doesn't quite work that way. You would not believe how many people I've come across over the years who've gone off and done a 10 week evening class (that's one 3 hour class once a week for 10 weeks) and suddenly think they're an IT expert. I work with guys who studied Computers at school and did a degree in it and are now earning good money. It didn't fall in their lap, they had to work hard at doing well, my boss won't consider applicants unless they have a first class or upper second class degree and really good A level results. On the other hand my brother never finished his degree but worked his way up in his job from a trainee position having done an MSCE and is now earning really good money as a consultant. The other main reason people take up IT courses is to improve their skills for their own satisfaction and bring them up to date with new technology. As someone who trained people in the 90s how to use a mouse (you would not believe the trouble I had getting some people to master the use of a mouse), how to type letters on a computer as opposed to a manual typewriter and not hit enter at the end of each line! It was a nightmare sometimes but very rewarding when I remember how many people I helped move into an era of computers everywhere in the office! If people don't upgrade their skills, they generally get left behind. I know people in their 60s who are quite happy to use a computer and send emails but during the early 90s, people in their 50s and 60s were the hardest ones for me to convince of the merits of using a computer!

It is very obivious why people opt for I.T courses because it pays them well .As we dawn on the I.T revolution it is very apparant that all we used to do manually is done electronially , to optimise our cost and increase our capacity.I.T is not just one field it is at the upper end of the value chain of all disciplines . with regards www.chocolatesavy.com
