Describing any emotion is impossible. Try it, describe pain, as if your talking to someone that has no idea what it is, without using any synonyms for pain, like hurt.

so true, so why do we have word meanings for something we can't describe??

because even though you can't describe it, you've grown up with it your whole life, and have a general idea of what it is, even if you can't put it into words.

Love is a deep, emotional feeling for someone or some thing. It is a feeling you get when you really like something. You can love just about anything but the feeling for each one is different.

Yeah, as you said love is the word that we always mention in our daily life but it's really a little bit hard to give it a clear defination.
Let me try.
To a single woman or man, what love means to her or him is that when he/she is feeling lonely there's someone he/she can lean on. Someone gives her or him not only promises but also caring.
To a kid, love means that his family memebers care for him/her. Give him/her guidance and make him/her happy.
To a mylotter, love means that his or her posts will always be responded by other users and people are friendly to him/her.
Have a nice day!

I think that love is caring enough about someone or something to put it before yourself. Someone or something you would risk your life (yourself) for. Someone or something worth dying for. That is love.

For me love can be define through how it works, and to whom you are loving. Their are several types of love i know. Like puppy love which is for the kids who are immature enough to handle relationship. Mature love which can be felt to everyone even a group of living or non living things. Unconditional love which you love everyone with out expecting in return. Things like that. But its just a definition of the kind of love. When you mean love it don't have any definition, if you love. You can do all the things that are unspoken.
There are a lot of explanation what love is but you love because it depends on the situation but for me you love because that thing fulfills your needs specially your emotional needs. You love because of what you have learned in your environment that you have been exposed.
It's easy to love when you don't get hurt.
