We Need More Space Stations in Orbit.

If we put more space stations in orbit then more of us can have the experience of space travel. They can be put into a lower orbit so that we do not interfere with the existing ones already up there. We could even put a ladder from down the the ground here so that we can climb up to them.
What do you think about that?

It beats me why we would need experience with space travel, much less conjest the universe with even more man-made craft which extend the hole in the ozone layer.
I'm happy with my astral travel, thank you, my friend, and think I will keep my feet firmly planted on the Earth's soil. I doubt I could climb a darned ladder that long, anyway.
Brightest Blessings. x

Yes, and why is the Earth going to become uninhabitable before long? Why is it not going to be good for our children? It's all down to us, so instead of finding another planet, which is a heck of a job anyway, why don't we start to do the right thing by what we have been given, and teach our children to carry on the good work, instead of abusing it until it becomes uninhabitable. A much more realistic approach, don't you think? To heck with all this combing the Universe for a planet that will suit humans, when the chances are there isn't one! All we have to do is respect the gifts we've been given.

Wow my friend you are certainly deep seated in your beliefs. You should really open your mind a bit further and let other peoples beliefs take thier course and enjoy the technology that space exploration brings to us.
As to why the earth will be uninhabitable is the fact that the earth has ever changing cycles around the sun and years to come the earth will be far too near the sun for life to bear the intensive heat to survive.

This earth is going to be unihabitable before long and it is the future of the human race that we should be thinking about. People say that they want the best for thier children but I feel it is thier childrens children that we should be thinking about and that means finding another habitable home for them to live in.

It costs really mutch to just get one piece of a space station up into orbit. Probably a space station costs a few billion dollars, both to build and then to send up. Since their already exists a space station in orbit, i have doubts that their will be a second one, if the second one isnt a space hotel or something similar.
Ive heard about plans on building a space elevator, but thats far off into the future. There is alot of stuff that needs to be fixed before, like the thing that the elevator would need to be at least 10000 miles tall, thats only possible with superstrong nano structures. also no single countr could afford to build such a massive structure, and if the cash is their the build time is at least several decades long.

It is risky to put a space station at a lower orbit than usual because there is a high chance that it will crash into earth. You could put rockets but that would consume a lot of fuel but rockets can only carry a fixed amount.
Your Idea of putting a ladder would be almost impossible because no one would be able to climb that high by themselves. No one could breathe in thin atmosphere and the force of gravity would be too much for them to bear. In addition to that if u put it at a lower orbit than normal, the space station will not remain on the same place on the sky so it is impossible to build the ladder. You could get it to be geostationary but the region of space suitable for that is already very crowded with satelites.

Presumeably you know a lot about space. It will not matter if the ladder is not fixed to the ground then it will travel the globe and anyone can jump on if itis not going too fast.. We could wear protective clothing and air supply so that we do not freeze and also have air.

Yes I know a bit about space, I learnt them when I was in school, in my physics class.
I forgot to add another thing:
If you are going to extend a ladder from space to earth, your space station is sure to crash into the earth because the force of the wind on the ladder can through your space shuutle of its orbital course.
Other than that, I think that it could be a hazard to tall buildings, mountains and aeroplanes because it is allowed to move around the earth with a long ladder.
