The latest Tiger count has revealed what many feared- the tiger is fast heading towards extinction. Also called the Royal Bengal Tiger, its numbers have now dwindled to less than 1500 from the 3000 plus a decade ago. In spite of efforts to save the tiger and its habitat, it seems we may soon lose this magnificent beast.
