Tip or no Tip?

If ever the delivery guy was late delivering the pizza, we will give him a little tip. In our case, we don't order pizza to be delivered. We were the one who went to the pizza hut or greenwich, the two favorite brand that we chose, to bought. Garden fresh was the favorite.

I'm not sure if I give a great tip but I usually end up giving the delivery guy $5.00.

I worked in a few pizza places. And i would definitely tip the delivery driver, especially if you order pizza from the same place over and over again and get teh same driver almost every time. hehe. Just a suggestion ;) HE does ride with your food from the pizza shop to your house.. *smileS*

I always tip the pizza guy or whoever delivers food in our house 15% of the bill. If they have a delivery fee, then I tip 10%. Now with the prices of gasoline, these delivery people are not making that much money anymore. Usually I would ask the pizza place what time they will deliver. Some of these places will assure you that if they are late, you can have the pizza for free...

I don't think I have ever NOT tipped the delivery guy. Even if they are late getting there I give them a tip. The amount of time it takes them to get to your house is not always under their control. I try to give them at least a few dollars. I once gave a $5 tip.

I usually give 4 or 5 dollars. If they are really late I might give them a dollar less, but I would never not tip them at all, unless they were late and rude, I probably would still tip them but not much. They don't get paid much by the pizza place, most of their income, income comes from tips so if you don't tip them or barely tip them you are hurting them, they have just spent their time delivering to you when, when they could have been delivering to someone else who would actually pay them for their time.

I usually will tip a dollar or two depending on how much trouble for the driver. We do not get delivery all the way out where we live, but once I talked a driver to bring us a pizza and I met her down the road a ways - she lives beyond me so was on her way home anyhow. I gave her a $5 tip this was before gas got so expensive.
