Does anyone know how many Pounds are in the US Dollar?

I live in Scotland & I would like to know how much I will get for my $10. Please let me know.

The last time I checked xe.com, which was about a month ago, one Pound was worth $1.98. I looked it up after viewing a British cruise line's website.

He's right...one US dollar is worth less then half a pound. Here is a site I have been using to transfer them back and forth http://www.dollars2pounds.com/
