I was driving into work this morning and Foreigner was playing Urgent on the radio. I used to like that song back then but now it just made me wonder why I liked it. I started to think about the 80's and how my life was back then. Then I started to think of things that have come back again to us now in 08. I don't think it is good really but I guess in a few years we will have to live the 90's again and I think maybe they were worse than the 80's for pop culture. What reminds you of the 80's?

Definitely music and movies bring me back the 80's. It was my growing up years, so they will always be my favorite...

Yeah I was teen in the 80's and I thought back then we were so cool and our fashions so great and how future generations would always see our generation as the one's that started being cool. Now I look at some of the fashions and wonder what we were thinking.

There was some really wacky crazy styles back then but they were fun and harmless and that's what I liked about them. You could just have fun with them.
However, I do on occasion, see a style from back then and think, "what in the world were they thinking." EXAMPLE: The Flock Of Seagulls hair style ;-P

well i was just watching a kansas vid on Youtube and it was from 1976 (i told my 14 year old that i was the same age as her then, but she seemed rather unimpressed lol!)
but seriously, there is a lot of good music from the 80's such as the early days of U2 and hey, do you remember SwingOutSister?

There was a lot of good music but it seems that isn't what I am hearing anymore. I can't believe Kansas was so long ago. I remember how much I loved the album war by U2 they really were good back then. I don't remember SwingoutSister but of course I'll have to go youtube them. That sounded so 08 of me, the youtube thing that is.

I'm a kid of the 80's, I could remember kiddie programs like Sesame Street whenever I look back on that time. I also love the music back then, from our local entertainers up to foreign. I also remember the fashion and historical that happened here in my country, especially the infamous People Power which toppled the Marcos dictatorship. One movie I love back then was E.T, which stars then Drew Barrymore!

Actually my Ipod is starting to fill up with 80's music. Remember Cinderella?? That was fun. So when I'm on my treadmill I'm listening to Bon Jovi, "She's A Little Runaway" and I am totally transported back to the 80's. Now I just have to find Dokken and I'll be happy. I can do without the hairdos though. LOL.

there were a lot about the eighties that was quite good. music like modern talking, bad boys blue, jennifer rush, and all those excellent movies, A team, etc. . the worst was, for me, by far, shoulder pads. for women... then the hair. mullet mania. at least every era is unique and uhm 'interesting'.

I am an 80's child(born 1979) I remember rollerskating, having jeans with characters ironed onto the front of your thigh, messy hair-mines was really frizzy! I loved tv Portland Bill, Cockleshell Bay, Fraggles - they have made a come back and my daughter thinks its funny that I can sing along to the theme tune!!, Puddle Lane, Seaeme Street - I loved the count 1 ah ah ah 2 ah ah ah and so on!, Button Moon, Crystal tipps and Alister, Willow the wisp, The Wombles, Jamie and his Magic Torch, Care bears. How many sweets you could buy with your pocket money, BMX Bikes, Atari and Spectrum computers,Betamax or VHS videos. Dont even get me started on fashion!!
