the caption reads Brenda Martin begs for life from Mexican jail.
A Canadian Brenda Martin is imprisoned in Mexico for being part of a fraud case. Brenda claims to be innocent and the mexican goverment refuses to let her go. From what I read so far, the did not do a proper investigation and want to call her guilty with no hard evidence to back it up.
She is pleading with the canadian government to bring
her home.
you can read the story here:http://www.ctv.ca/servlet/ArticleNews/story/CTVNews/20080314/brenda_martin_AM_080314
Do you believe your government is doing enough to release our citizens from foreign jails?

Hi Hon
This is a story that I have heard many times.
It is one of the things you must think about before you traveling to some countries.
Their laws are different then ours.
I had a friend that was in a jail in
Mexico..He came home
in a wooden box...
It broke all our hearts.

From what I've heard of the Brenda Martin case, the Canadian Government has been very slow to act. Our Prime Minister, Steven Harper, has ignored the case for 2 years. Why does the Government stall on this one?The way I see it; Brenda, as a Canadian Citizen, is being mistreated whether she is Guilty or Not. I believe no citizen of any Nation should be mistreated in a Foreign Jail, No matter what crime they are charged with. (and this includes US prisoners in Cuba)
