Hi,everybody!
I'm from Croatia (it's small country in Europe) and I'm wondering have you ever heard that people from other countries are going to USA or UK during summer holidays and watch for children.I'm interesed in something like that for month or two because I think that's a great opportunity to see foreign countries and improve my English without paying loads of money to fancy summer schools in England.
So,I'm not asking if you're the one looking for babysitter, just have you ever heard of something like that or some advice.
Thanks

I've heard about this, I guess what you are referring to is being an Au-pair. This is usually for a longer time and combined with either an education or you can use it as work. You get to move in with a family and watch their kids. You can live their for free and they provide your food and room and you get a basic salary to do some things for yourself. It will not make you rich but it is a nice experience and it will help you improve your english.
There are special agencies for au-pairs, make sure you are protected so you don't get stuck with a family you don't get along with and have to stay there for a couple of months because that's in a contract. Get well informed!
