I liked the first one the best. The second was good. The third I had trouble getting into, but mid way through the movie I really got into it. I think they'll come out with more since Johnny Depp seems to be such a big money maker.

i liked the 2nd movie better. well, the movie picked-up the pace in the first one so it was awesome to watch. the third was just the conclusion to all. not all good, but the animation and effects was its best! but in stry wise and the whole story itself, the second one put the film i all its glory, that just for me huh?

I would have to say the first one is the best. I love watching it and will put the DVD in any time to do so. The second one was ok but a bit slow in my opinion and the third was hard to follow. It just seemed to jump around a lot and was confusing as to what all was happening. The first one though flowed great and I love the humor in it.

Weird Willy Wonka is right. But apparently, it was closer to the book than the Gene Wilder version.

It was closer but johnny depp came across as just another freaky wierdo that tim burton's dark vision is always imagining...I still like the original willy wonka and the chocolate factory as the screenplay was actually writen by Roald Dahl himself!

I really loved the first one the best. The story was lighthearted and funny...The other two movies were darker and not as funny.
The third one definitely had a weird ending...What the???
Okay after 10 years as the heartless captain of the Flying Dutchman,Will returns to Elizabeth and their son. So?Then what?Is he free because he found someone else who wants to be captain? Or does he still have to return to the Dutchman and sail another ten years before he can return to land again? That ending definitely got me confused!!!

I loved the first one. Although I can honestly say that this trilogy is my favorite. Even over LOTR.
