What is your favorite horror movie?

I am finding that a lot of horror movies these days just aren't as scary to me anymore. I am wondering if anyone has seen something good lately. It has been gore gore and more gore in most of the movies I have seen and a few have almost crossed the line of a true bloodbath. ;)
Any ideas?

haha Funny story about that movie...my friends were watching it and I wasn't paying attention until about half way through. Well when it was over I was going to leave the room to go to the restroom and my friend decided to be funny and pointed to the window and screamed 'what is that?!' I jumped three feet in the air and he laughed and laughed. Then since apparently he hadn't had enough of messing with me he started to make chain saw noises...I kept jumping for months when he would sneak up on me and do that!

I think what ended up being my favorite horror movie of 2007 was: SUNSHINE. It is not my favorite overall but if you have not seen it it may be be the something different you appear to crave aside from things with gore.
my review of it: http://www.associatedcontent.com/article/529153/sunshine_danny_boyle_directs_the_light.html

Hmm that sounds similar to the movie Event horizon that came out years ago. That was an excellent movie! I will have to check that out for sure...it sounds right up my ally!

I was surprised Jack Nicolson was in that but he did an amazing job! I really need to watch that one again.
