Monk is this former police detective whose wife died.OCD and several phobias make him a very weird detective and let's be honest the series is not exactly brilliant as a detective series, but Monk's little idiosyncrasies make it a very fun and enjoyable light show to watch.
And I really like it.
ANyone else watches it and enjoys it?

I love watching MONK -- my favorite episode is one of the earlier ones where Monk takes some pills that his psychiatrist gives him and suddenly all his quirks go away. Only to be exchanged for a new set, of course! He starts calling himself 'The Monk' and even proceeds to eat some nuts from the coffee table of the victim whose murder they are investigating! LOL Gave Tony Shaloub a great opportunity to flex his acting chops even more than he already does.
On a side note -- My dog LOVES Monk as well LOL. She has literally (and I kid you not) swatted her paw at the channel button on my remote and kept glancing back and forth between the remote and the TV until it landed on Monk. At which point, she settled in and watched the episode... I actually think she has a crush on Tony Shaloub because there was a Frasier episode on the other day that he guested in -- she heard his voice and perked right up from her nap. (It's not an easy thing to stir her from her nap!)

I love to watch Monk too. In fact I watched it last night. I can't always stay up late enough to watch it, so I have to watch the reruns they have on Fri. nights. I have always liked it a lot. Great program. One of my favorites.

I just love Monk and all his idiosyncrasies and obsessions. I am looking forward to the new shows. Actually I saw (I can't say I met) Monk when I was working as an extra. There was an episode filmed in Toronto. It was supposed to be San Francisco. It was filmed in a crowded cable car, and several people from the back of the car had to push by Monk and get off the trolly. This scene had to be done over and over all afternoon but we were treated extremely well and he looked like he would have liked to talk to us but no one spoke to him because extras get fired if they approach the stars.

Yes so am I. It's one of the few series that I actually look forward to :)
When we see the end result we often forget how long one simple scene takes until it's considered fine and let's go to the next :)
I didn't know about the firing thing, but I guess in a way I can understand the reasoning.

Oh yes, I think we are all OCD in some way and he is so funny, he can be so ego-centric and so child-like at the same time. He is one of my favorites.

I love Monk! Although the plot sounds like a drama, it is actually very funny. At the same time, he solves all his cases even when you think he won't be able to. I also love how crazy all the cases are! The things are not just normal everyday happenings but instead are crazy out there things no regular cop would ever figure out. I can't wait to see new shows!!

This is one of my favorite shows. I even watch the reruns. You know I love the show when I purchase the episodes, so they are available for me to view at any time of the day.
My favorite episodes were in the first season and I watch that dvd more than the others. I'm one of the Sharona fans. My daughter stopped watching when she left.

LOL the other day my daughter was straightening something on her dresser and her brother was joking that she was just like monk hehehe
Although it's just that, that attention to the smallest detail that gets him to understand what happened.
And then comes " that's what happened..." LOL
Hey, it's a jungle out there hehehehehe
