I fear for my country.

Before I get started, I should mention that it's the US government that I despise, not her citizens. I still have faith in American citizens as a whole, which is why I'm coming here for help.
I've known intuitively for most of my life that the US will eventually take over Canada, and that we don't stand a chance against it. You guys need our land and natural resources and I'm sure there are other motivations as well that I'm ignorant to. I never felt as though it was an immediate threat, but now I feel it looming. Particularly because I'm in Alberta, and we gots some oil.
So my first question is, what are some good sources from which I can educate myself on this situation? Books, websites, etc? And my second question is: How can I fight this? My gut feeling is that it is inevitable, but I don't want to give in without a fight. I see the states as an evil empire that I want no part of. But how can I fight something that isn't glaringly obvious? I mean, it's not like there are tanks rolling in that I can molotov or whatever. And what would be the best way to go about this? I don't know if I should actively be trying to hasten the states demise (and how would I do that anyway?) or should I wait for someone else to take them down and hope the fallout doesn't f**k me over too badly?I'm kind of going crazy here, because I feel like I should be doing something, but I don't know what. Are there any Canadian organisations dedicated to the cause of keeping the states out?Anyway, thanks in advance for the advice.
