i always like swimming. but one day i experienced a bad thing when i was swimming. at that time i went swimming with 4 friends. one of my friends chilled that her lips went blue. we were scared that she might die. and so we called an ambulance immediately, and found out that she was having trouble with her heart. apparently there was a kind of leakage in her heart. she was prohibited swimming by her parents but she never told us so. we were to blame then. have you experinced bad things when swimming? please share. thx:)

Well i have had a bad experience while swimming.. not a long time back.. It was hardly 2 weeks back that my friend asked me to go for swimming together. I agreed. It was 11:30 in the morning.. I didnt have my breakfast.. While i was swimming .. i was feeling okay during the first 4 rounds.. Bu after i completed my fifth round.. i almost fainted.. I could see nothing infront of my eyes.. The whole world seemed to be rotating in front of my eyes.. I fell on the chair and laid down there for atleast half an hour.. I didnt had a bath after swimming.. I found it very difficult to walk as i was walking as a drunk man. It took me more than an hour to get alright only after i had a glass of juice.. I felt the water was too cold and it got into my head .. But it didn't stop me further.. i still enjoy swimming..

may be you have a hypo-tension or anemia. i have it too. but luckily i never experience it during swimming. but it struck me when doing other sports. and so, i try to drink something sweet to gain enough energy, or eat a few snacks before exercising. try it, hope will work :)

Hey there. My six year old son was sick a few weeks ago. He was starting to feel a little better, so I took him to his swim lesson. After about 10 minutes in the pool, he was shivering and tired. I took him home; he had a fever and was trying to sleep in the bathtub! Poor kid. He is much better now, though.

Oh my, summer is already here and swimming will be an exciting thing to spend it. I have one awful swimming experience which happens most of the time hehehehe CRAMPS... Leg cramps I hate it and you know it is life threatening. It attacks the least you expect it, especially when you are alone. Of course, there are ways to avoid it,,, Drink a lot of water.

My mother did not know about this before, i was third year college when i go out with my classmates. I don't know how to swim. I didn't notice that i was already on area that the water is higher than me. My classmates didn't see me trying my best to rich the ground and survive. And when i reach is, even though my eyes was too red and i already drink a lot of water, i pretend that i was just nothing. I was just 13 then and this morning at the age of 26, i share it with my mother and i saw her eyes with worry even though it was past of my life and i share it while laughing.

I wonder if you would count being on an innertube and seeing an aligator surface about 25 feet away as a bad experience? Although it was only 3 or 4 feet long, the water is black water so underwater visability is very short. So where small ones are, bigger ones could be too. We gave the aligator the entire river.

we definitely got out of the water as quickly as possible. I think he was as scared of us as we were of him or she as I really couldnt tell at the speed I was doing on that tube...LOL

I have never experienced anything serious like that when me and my friends go swimming. We are always careful and does not go too far away from the shore (that is if we are at the beach). How is your friend by the way? I hope she is doing fine.

Last year we had a scary situation when we had taken my children to the water park. They have this big thing that is round and it swirls you around and spits you out into a pool of water below (nicknamed the toilet). My 8 yr old son, who can swim quite well wanted to go on it, so I allowed him to but I stood nearby so I could help him out of it. I was 8 months pregnant on this trip and luckily I am a good swimmer. When it spit my son out at the bottom into the pool of water he sank and didn't come up. The lifeguards were just standing around so I dove in and grabbed him, tossed him up over the side, and then climbed out. He was fine after that. Never again will we play on that thing.

i also got some bad experience on during swimming. as i grew up in a small village with a river. so i usually swim in the river with my friends. since i did not take any protection, there are a lot of water poured into my ears. many years passed, i always feel my ears humid. and i got a little problem of hearing

when that happened you should pour water more to your ears. let it go deep and pour it away. i had this once and it worked for me. i'm sorry for you. but next time you have this, try my tip.

Once when I was 18 or something, I went to party, had some drinks, and at about 5 a.m., me and my friend went to closest lake not far away from the town, it was small lake, but deep. I swam twice more distance then usually, and when I arrived at the bank and went ashore, I literally broke down unmoving and completely drained, so I was lucky to be on steady ground. Only next day I realized I was close to trouble. It was typical example that drinking and swimming do NOT match together.
