That sounds great! I just bought a pineapple yesterday so I think I'll go look up a recipe and make it for my husband. He'll be surprised to taste a food from his youth. He often talks about the foods that his grandmother used to make for him as a youth in Singapore. Thank you for bringing this to my attention!

Surprise for your husband! Julievy, you're such a lovely wife! Apologies for the side-track, but my heart melted when you mentioned giving your husband a surprise... so sweet. I am sure he will enjoy the rojak... have you prepared the dish before? Is the sweet sauce readily available where you live?

It suggests using other ingredients as well (e.g. hard bean curd)... =) Please recommend to Jamie nice dishes too ya? =)

Thank you for posting that link Jamielin. I need to find tamarind juice somewhere before I can try making this, but I do have the rest of the ingredients.
My favorite Singapore dish is Chicken rice! I'm sure you probably already know how to make that, but let me know if you don't and I'll forward the recipe.
