Cellphones keep on changing from time to time. New features are being added every now and then so that after a few months, you want a more advanced phone. But new cellphone with all the features are so expensive...we all cannot afford to buy at least one unit everytime a new one comes out in the market.
If you want a new phone...will you buy a second hand phone? Why or why not?

Like you said cellphones are expensive. All I need a phone for is to make calls. So I would not try to keep up with the newest cellphone.

I would surely buy second hand phones that interests me after it qualifies from my inspections. See any minor details that can be tolerated or just simply have the deal off if the phone I'm interested in has more than a couple problems. Buying it and then spending more for repairs ain't that a wise decision to do, of course

Yes of course, if the cellphone is in a very good condition and no problem at all. Sometimes, there are people selling a new model of cellphone because they need a money so thats why I will grab the opportunity to buy it in a cheaper price.

i don't think i will buy a too old second hand phone. a nearly new one is ok. but the price is nearly to the new one, too. so i prefer buy a new one. plus, if i wanna buy a second hand phone, i must wonder why the ex-owner didn't want the phone any more. and the quality of the phone can't be guaranteed. i prefer to buy a new cheapper one.

I dnt go for a second hand one. If I want to have a phone compatible with the technology today, I would carefully choose one which suits my requirement. And most of all I am a satisfied kind of person, If I have one I am happy with that. :)

No, I won't. I believe that gadgets like cellphones should not be bought used. It should always be brand new because I don't want to deal with technical issues. I haven't changed my cellphone since 2003. I only use mine to call and text. I have an iPod for my music and a digital camera for my pictures. I want my gadgets to be separate from each other so that their purpose is maximized.

I don't have any problem at all with cellphone models. Fads come and go and having perceived that, I just keep myself stuck with this old cellphone of mine. I have been using this same old 3100 up to now. It's pretty much outdated but as long as I can call and text, I'm good.

I don't think I would buy a second hand phone (although there are many other things I don't mind buying second hand, like a car or even clothes!)
You wouldn't get a long guarantee (if anything) and youd don't know if it has any problems. It just doesn't cost much nowadays to get an upgrade. I don't use mine much for anything more than calls and some texting. My last upgrade was only because I was moving from Europe to the Dom Rep and one is dual band the other is tri-band (i.e. my European phone wouldn't work here).

Some second hand units sellers alter the genuine ones and sell it as genuine or original phones. If you're not so familiar with it, you'll might ending up buying a fake one. It's still best to buy a new one because there's a guarantee. If funds are lacking, then save some more and get a new unit once you've got the money.
