where in the world do you get you ideas from? i get my ideas from anwhere i could get them. i get them from other mylot users, i get them from my daily acitivities, i get them from my chaotic brain. sometimes, i don't get anything because i have a writers block or i just don't feel like writing something. when this happens, i either distract myself and just do things like in random.

as long as we have our brain working, we can think of something to write. why waste time writing a journal when you can write it on mylot and earn some money and destinction and respect from people.

I really do not know where I get my ideas from. Whenever I am typing in mylot or any other forums and ideas just start popping up in my head like THAT! If I want to start a discussion I think really hard and look at my interests to see what to write about. During the day when I get an idea out of a random reason I will keep it in mind until I get to be on mylot again then I will post it, otherwise I just sit and answer other peoples discussions.

i keep an idea file for such days as the ones when i have writers block. i have a recipe card file box (you can pick them up at dollar stores) and when i have an idea, i jot it down (i ALWAYS carry a notebook around with me in my purse or have note paper handy where i sit when i watch tv!)

i meditate, and the Holy Spirit inspires me with ideas that i should use. i do writing exercises in a used book i bought from a used book sale, called Wild Mind: Living The Writer's Life by Natalie Goldberg i go to a crowded area and people watch and then take notes if i see something different or interesting. (beware: some nosy people have the guts to come up to me and say what are you doing? i tell them i am writing a novel, if you want to read it, go buy a copy) internet surfing chat with strangers in chatrooms

writing is very mechanical for most of the part, i mean after getting the idea. but getting the idea from thin air is the most amazing aspect of writing. until that very moment you were ignorant about that seed of thought which was always there just an eyelid away...unthought...unguessed...unidentified...and all of a sudden...just as a lightening...it enters your mind with a burning sensation...
