In the Philippines, papaya soaps are used for the purpose of skin whitening. The papaya soap has the enzyme papain which aids in the exfoliation of dead skin. When the use of these herbal soaps became popular, brands like Likas Papaya, Silka, Nature's Garden Secrets, and Yssa were sold not only in the Philippines but worlwide through ebay and other online forums. How about you? Have you tried using papaya soaps lately?

Not to sound rude but I'm a little confused... Why would someone want to whiten their skin?

Papaya originates from Central America. Papaya shrub is rich in vitamins. Its rich in vitamins A which is good for our skin,C to fight infection,E for maintaining younger skin. It is also rich in calcium , phosporus and iron. It helps digesting food from our stomach. It was used for treatment of fever and ulcer.I had not used any papaya soap for now because I had an allergy with it . But I used another foreign brand of papaya soap that I used for my body once in a while. Its really good in whitening some dark spots.
