The last thing that I lost interest in was exercising and trying to lose weight. I did so well and lost 24 pounds before Winter came along and it feels like I have put some of it back on. I just didn't feel motivated because it was so cold and even though I do have an exercise bike to keep the workout going, I just couldn't be bothered
After today's beautiful weather though, I am starting to get the urge again
What about you? What was the last thing you lost interest in and why?

The last thing I lost interest in was baseball. Last year when the season started I just couldn't get into it. Normally I love baseball and can talk about it like a guy, but last year I had no interest. Baseball is starting again soon, so hopefully I'll feel more of an interest. Of course this doesn't mean my interest in Derek Jeter has waned. That interest will NEVER die. : )

I can't get into baseball for some reason. My hubby enjoys it but prefers football than baseball. I have been to one game though and it was interesting. I prefer basketball than anything! thanks for responding

I like football better than baseball too. I love those two sports and also basketball. I'm not athletic despite playing basketball in high school. But I'd trade being a girly girl for five minutes of being able to dunk a basketball! lol

The last thing I lost interest in was taking a part-time job. Since I am a poor student in university,I need money badly for the lunch and things I need to buy.But it was so tired now when I have to ride for two hours to get there. So I really want to give up the job,but i can not.

I feel you there fayfun. I was also working seasonal during the Christmas period and after my contract finished I re-applied for a more permanent position but the hours I was asking for did not suit their schedule. I have a five year old son that is my priority so the hours I was asking were not suitable. They asked if I could work nights which I can if my husband is home, but because he travels a lot I can't. I don't have family that I can leave him with and besides I really don't want to impose on anybody either since the job would finish around 10pmish.
I have been trying to get motivated again but can't seem to find anything I want to do so far. I think I'll find something but for now I'll just leave it for a while.

My part-time job always bores me. Every afternoon I have to ride for one hour to there after classes. And then go back to my university at nine, I still have to ride for one hour. I have insisted on the job for more then two months, how cann't I feel tired? I would rather not to go there anymore, but real world is outside.

I always have the thought of becoming someone famous someday, well I did dropped the thought of it because of too much competition!
I used to love music so much back then, I like singing and performing but I also am not that much at ease facing lots of people. Took me time to dream about it, that it seems that I could only really achieve them just by dreaming!
Not that I lost interest in music, but I guess lost the thought of dreaming big..

You know I have heard that dreams can come true if you really put your mind to it. You just never know!

The last thing that I lost interest in is therapy. I do not really know why. I just don't feel like being bothered at this point. The last time I went was two weeks ago. I talked about my brother-in-law and my therapist noticed how much it upset me.
There was nothing that she could say to make me feel better about what was going on. I think that this is what made me start to feel that it was a waste of time. I just feel like I am trying too hard to get something out of it, but I am not getting anything.
The only time that I really feel like I need therapy is when I am in a personal crisis and need answers. Right now, everything seems to be going pretty good for me and there is nothing for me to talk about. I don't know, somehow I feel like I will regret it if I don't go back. However, I just don't feel motivated to go.

Maybe you just need a break from it all Rozie. You have a lot going in your life at the moment, not only with your own personal life but with your sisters, so maybe you just need to have a break from it all.

It's been 4 years since I last played any sport too. I was very energetic and right into it but now that I have put on more weight its hard to get out there and keep it going.

Last thing I lost interest in would be the 'Harry Potter' books. Why? Because of the 7th book. Just one of, if not THE, worst example of continuity mistakes I've ever seen or heard of. Pretty much everything else I do I still like: Reading, working out, writing, movies, etc...

Don't get me wrong, the story in and of itself (for 7) is fine. It's just when you start paying attention to the details that it falls apart. Horribly.
Spells/magic/potions working different from how they have in the past. Characters doing things they never have. Logic mistakes that a half blind editor should have corrected. Things of that sort.
To me, when a story can't hold together with just a little bit of attention payed to it then that story is a piece of crap.
The 7th book...a HUGE piece.
I could write pages and pages on the mistakes, actually it would take an 8th book to clear up the mistakes in the 7th. It's just a sad thing. My opinion of course, ask 90% of the rest of the fans and they'll tell you it was the greatest book since Gutenberg created the printing press.
If you'd like to know what to look for let me know and I can write you some things to watch for.

mine was hoola hoops. Yeah for i time i loved doing hoola while watching T.V. now i dont even see where i left the hoops. haha
I lost interest the moment i started feeling that my legs hurt at times and my knees felt a bit weaker when i go up and down the stairs. i have never felt this before i started doing my daily hoola routine. Im trying to see if it is the cause or just one of the cause...

I'm losing interest in the the Green-Rainbow party (Massachusetts affliate of the Green Party), which was/is a big part of my life. All the infighting and personalities are getting to me. I know thaat no political party is perfect (it's the nature of the beast), but the Green Party in my state is acting no different than the Democrats or even the Republicans (God forbid).

Sorry to hear that. I am not familiar with the Green-Rainbow Party but with what is going on in the world of politics today, I can understand why some of us lose interest.

The last thing I lost interest was fixing my things. My room badly needs cleaning and I can't seem to have the motivation to do it. My mom constantly reminds me of doing it but everytime she tells me, I just don't want to do it.
i really know that my room needs a major clean-up but i am not doing anything to give a solution. I just don't know why but it sure happens a lot, the last time it happened was yesterday.

Maybe you can try a little bit at a time. Start with one corner of the room each day and work your way around the room. I have no choice but to clean up our room because no-one else will clean it up and even though I don't mind a mess and have left the room for days even a week without cleaning it, it gets a bit too much when I can't find things around the room let alone see the bed LOL

One of the last things I lost interest in is Myspace. I used to go on all the time. Since I came across Mylot, I spend my time here instead. I find it more interesting to be able to discuss topics with other people.

I understand. I think with me it comes down to motivation and trying to keep myself going. I always start off so well and then I fade and get bored.

Hmmm.. I lost interest in many things... Excercising (not to lose weight but to put on more muscle) I just sort of got fed up and stopped.
I also stopped playing video games but recently started bak. I have no idea why... I guess the mind is a wierd thing...
