its the caffine-like substance called theobromine in the chocolate, its bad for puppies and animals alike..
it can make your puppy very sick, called hyperexcitabilty, muscle tremors, vomitting, diarrhea if our puppy eats some, you should call the vet immediately..
grapes can dehydrate and mess up your dog, but only in large quantities, one or two grapes/raisins will not kill him but anything more and should be taken to the vet
dogs should also avoid onions and macadamia nuts ..

Chocolate is definitely a no-no to dogs it can make a dog very sick because of the high fat content, caffeine and most of all theobromine. caffeine and theobromine affects the central nervous system and the heart muscle as well as increasing the urination.grapes, raisin is also not good for dogs but yet they content an unknown toxins which damage the kidney. Fatty foods must also be avoided for dogs because it is hard for a dog to digest and can overtax the pancrease while macademia nuts and all other nuts must also be avoided becuase of the high phosporous content that may lead to bladder stones. I hope this information may help all those dog lovers like me.
