I found a recipe for a soup that helps when you have diabetes,to reduce blood sugar. 1 onion,chopped,4cloves of garlic,chopped,1 16ounce can kidney beans, 1 carrot, diced, 1/2 cupuncooked peanuts, 1/4 cup,, fenugreek seedes,2 bay leaves,cinnamon, clove turmeric,. boil onion and garlic in a large sauce pan.
Add the kidney beans,carrots,peanuts, and fenugreek seeds. season to taste,
with the bay leaves,cinnamon,clove ,and turmeric. simmer for an additional30 minutes,remove bay leaves, and serve.

I think that might be an interesting one to try. I just wish canned foods were available here. Would it work with some kind of dried beans? Of course the beans would have to be cooked the day before or something if they were to be used, but if you think that may work I will see if I can find some of the things. What is fenugreek seeds?

If you are in a place that sells spices you will find fenugreek seeds there. It is a spice that in earlier times was said to help the digestion. It tastes pretty savory.

So are you diabetic, and did you try it. Cinnamon is reported to be good for stabilizing blood sugar, and so is the fiber that you will find in beans and in peanuts. I can see where it might be helpful, and tasty, whether you have diabetes or not.
