Champions League - Arsenal Vs. Liverpool!!

Both the conquerors of San Siro, go head to head now. Arsenal vs. Liverpool. Would the young gunners be a match for that Champions League Grand Master Benitez?
What is your views on who will win the tie?

As a Liverpool fan Arsenal were the one team i din't want to draw.
It is the most difficult tie of the quarter finals - I think Liverpool need an away goal from first leg and fingers crossed that Arsenal will be more concerned about the league game between the two clubs in between the cup legs

I have to agree. I was hoping that Liverpool would have to face either Fenerbache or Schalke. Facing any of the english teams would be difficult. We don't really have a good track record against them in the league.

Actually speaking both Arsenal and Liverpool got the worse of the draw. Whoever wins this one probably comes up against Chelsea. I have a sneaking feeling that Gerrard-Torres combo might just be a bit too much for Arsene's young gunners. Having said that the young gunners have made a lot of people chew their words this season.

I have to agree with you ram. looking at arsenal now, they look as if they're struggling. They've had what 4 draws in the league. They seem to have lost their way. I'm hoping that they keep losing their way for the next couple of weeks. Just until they finish playing liverpool in the champions league and the league. I'd hate to see Man U wnning the tile again.

It is difficult to predict who will win for both teams do have their strong points and weak points. It is a 50-50 chance and any mistake done by either team will give an edge to the other team. In term of tactical game, it will surely favour Arsenal for they are young, fast and one touch game. Besides they are good in front of the goal mouth especially Adibayor's header. Van Persie is another player to be watched out for. The advantage of Arsenal players are they can do do fast counter attack. Liverpool has to be aware of that.
Liverpool on the other hand, normally play long ball. The combination of Torres and Gerrald can be a spoiler to the Gunners if the defenders fail to block them.
All the best to both teams and let the the best team win.
The next obtacle for either team will be Chelsea and/or Manchester United.
Let the show begin.

All three meetings between the two teams this season has ended 1-1. Liverpool now carry the crucial away goal to Anfield. But, I do not think they can stop Arsenal from scoring at Arsenal. So it could well be either penalties or someone has to conjure the second goal.

I think the gunners put up a spirited fight, there was yet again poor refreeing just like was the case with match they had at the Emirates where Heleb was denied a penalty!
