I am a U.S. Army Veteran and in September, after the examination and the whole 9 yards, they decided to up my disability from the 20% overall that was to 60% overall which entitled me to additional compensation for my Dependents. Their records show that they received my paperwork for compensation for dependents on January 20th. Here it is almost 2 months later and I still have not received word one about this issue. Also every time that I call I get a different answer for the amount of time that it will take or it usually takes for dependent compensation to be approved. The first time that I called I was told about a week, the second time it was anywhere between 1 and 5 months and this last time when I called about 2 days ago I was told about 90 days.
I was wondering if there were any other Veterans here that may be able to help me with this issue or know about how long it takes them to verify and issue dependent compensation.
