We are being continually told to cut back on the use of plastic bags so why don't shops/supermarkets supply us with paper bags, they are bio-degradeable and better for the environment. So come on supermarket owners get your act together give us paper carrier bags now! What do you mylotters think?

Although paper bags seem to be better than plastic ones, however, I think paper bags are still a kind of big waste for the environment. As we have to cut many trees to make paper bags. Why not we all bring our cloth bag and use it for many times?

Many years ago stores went from plastic to paper to "save the environment." Now plastic is wasteful so the shopper is suppose to carry cloth/reuseable bags with them to "save the environment." Problem is hauling bags with you every time you shop is a hassle especially if getting a big quantity of items at one time. I've noticed clerks fumble around a great deal with the reuseable ones. One reason is everyone seems to have different types of cloth bags...not consistent. Come on folks let's just stick with the lighweight plastic.
