In spite of the peanuts we earn on mylot, we spend hours on discussions. The costs of internet usage and electricity are definitely more than the meager earnings. Yet we do it like clockwork. Why? Its because mylot is addictive. We start to like what we do here on mylot. We never give up hope that we can be popular writers. We keep on hoping that we will start earning more. We hope to make a living out of mylot. We are fools.

It has to be for the opportunity to interact with other people, the chance to find out what people think about subjects that interest you, and maybe give answers that could be useful or interesting and improve your writing skills. It certainly isn't the money, because I don't think anyone can make a good income here, even though it is quite a nice feeling seeing your earnings climb. But in my case I have been here for a month and I have 1.05, at the rate I'm going it will take me ten months to cash out at $10.00 which definitely isn't much.

Because it really isn't about the money. It's a social site. We make friends. It inspires thought. I don't think people stick around for the cash. We get information and lear. That is always more important.
