I have a couple of friends that are trying to send me emails, but their emails never come through.I have sbcglobal.net as my main email address.
Does anyone have an idea as to why this could be happening? All my other friends have no problems getting through.

well I have noticed with main isps... they don't accept a lot of the non main isps.
Like I use gmail... and it does not go to a lot of people. You may have to see where they are sending from. That could be your problem!
I know the school district does not get gmail... but they get my hotmail!

Talk to the system admin and get it acertained. What is the size limit of your mailbox set by the server. If your mailbox size is over the sizelimit, you may stop receiving emails or may not able to send emails from your mailbox as per the rule set by your sys admin.
Try this: send a test mail to your own id . if you receive your test mail, then rpobably everything is fine in your place.

How long have you been waiting? I have got a hotmail e-mail account which means all the emails go through the web. If yours is also through the web (where you haveto go to the site to log in) then it might take longer then normal especially if the emails are big or have big attachments.
What happens is the email gets sent, it is then uploaded to the site (hotmail, yahoo etc.) then online sends it to you. So depending on the size of the email it might take longer then usual.
There might also be a problem with the servers of the site. Maybe try contacting them...
Hope this helped
