And then you have people like me who skip over the "what's your favorite" stuff (usually!) and go for the meatier discussions! I don't care if it will get me a penny, I won't respond to just any discussion. I have better things to do with my time. And I bet there are a lot of people on myLot that feel the same way. Sorry you've seen so much of that--you just have to "shop" through your interests and pick the ones that mean something to you. And there's SO many discussions here that the odds of my finding yours aren't that great, I think it's a crap shoot. Enjoy it and ignore the money-grubbers!

I just looked at your profile and see that you don't have a very large number of friends or interests. Having more of both will get your discussions seen more, and no doubt result in more responses. If people don't see you, they can't respond. The more friends and interests you have, the more home pages your discussions will be seen on. It's a numbers game. I've also noticed that it's been fairly quiet this weekend. I don't know if that's the norm or not, but there haven't been a good number of interesting discussions, so that may mean there are fewer members online right now.

oh yes, there are quite plenty of those stuffs in here. they dont even bother to ask properly, and would just give you choices like black or blue, and it is up to you to decipher the essence of the question. hehe :D

You found the money makers here on myLot, they're the ones who want the color of your socks by the way. Got to admire their desperateness, I personally ignore that stuff, drives you mad doesn't it? There are allot of people here on myLot who would love to hear about what's bothering you. Many good advice givers, you have to sift through all the good advice and take a chance on actually taking someones advice! If you want a lonely hearts club go to the depression section. But be careful, you may never return! Then if you have a weight problem, then sign up at the health bar, or the diet bar, or the weight loss bar. If you have a passion about music then get into the music stuff, make it your interest, same with movies. If you are a religious person then you can be saved and bible quoted to just by signing up for the religious section. I don't recommend it, but whatever floats your boat! Hang in there silkyt, you just haven't found the right people yet. Keep sifting through and select friends that look like they know what they're talking about.

Remember there are a wide variety of people here. There are quite a few,not all, that are here for the money. To me there isn't that much to be made at mylot but it is nice pocket money. If you look around you will find some worth while discussions that people have put thought into. I like to hear opinions of things that I have posted here. I think it makes it interesting when you here a different spin on what you think. It makes this world a exciting place to hear different view points. Give mylot a chance and it will surprise you. You will get more responses as your friend list increases.

There are some really silly topics that people put on, but there are some really great discussions that go on, you have to look for them some days but they are out there, I have answered an awful lot of fantastic discussions. I am always on the look out for things I can relate to or problems that I might be able to help with, so if you put any on and I can connect and help with it then I will answer it, and give you honest input and your feelings will matter.

Im so sorry you feel that way. Personally, I look for posts just like what you described and I must have missed it. I really don't like the ones that are about how you eat your cookies and what is your favorite color. I think most people on here do. I can tell you this...if your post is not answered right off and is not on the first two pages, some people get tired of shuffling thru. If you are on say page 5 and type in a response then your screen goes straight back to page one and you have to find your place again. I'll bet you'll get more responses now. Don't give up. This really is a good place. I'm going to go looking for your article right now.

Don't forget that this is only for entertainment. These are total strangers who care nothing about you until they get to know the real you. Then if they continue to not care about you, punch their lights out! Don't get it twisted. There are some good people here, but don't try to live your life in mylot!
