careful of putting links in discussions cos it can get the whole thread wiped out and everyone's earnings gone.
i am an amateur lensmaster and have about 7 lenses under my belt. It's nice to see susan going to hit her giant squidoo status and i hope to be there too.
the link to my squidoo lenses and profile can be found in this profile as well. Do comment if i can improve on it?
will be willing to exchange lensroll and favorite great lenses too.

I can't see the harm in putting links into discussions. This subject and category begs for links as why would any post anything in this section if it wasn't to promote their lenses.
I can see why myLot would delete whole threads if its x-rated or spammy, but disgruntling its users when its so hard to get a good following nowadays is something i don't believe it would do.

actually i do agree with what you have said. I don't see the point in them deleting threads but i guess what they are trying to discourage people who keep putting referral links out of here. Or as you have said, spammy.
maybe i have to read the TOS more closely. I guess informational links are ok but i am taking a little precaution. :)

I have 2 Squidoo lenses, but I had 3 at one time. But, I found the third one kind of redundant of one of the other two and it was too much work, so I deleted it. I might start another totally unrelated lens later on.

TBH you shouldn't really delete any lens even if you don't really like it - get it to a good point and leave it. All traffic add to how much you get paid and they also add to your total amount of lenses. And the closer you get to 50 lenses the more you'll wish you hadn't deleted any of your first attempts.

Yeah, but it's not worth adding and maintaining lenses that aren't getting any traffic. You don't get paid if you don't get any traffic. I also like to start original lenses that are on topics that no one else has either done, or has done that well, which makes it hard.

You can put Zazzle items on squidoo maybe not as easy as Cafepress but like anything else it is possible. Just do a search on Squidoo on Zazzle and you will find quite a few lenses telling you how to do it. You could also post in the SquidU forum and ask for a Zazzle module to be implemented, which I am sure they will already be working on cos Zazzle is sooo much better than CafePress.

I have a few more ideas but I have mainly been working on improving my rankings and backlinks lately cos once you get to Giant Squid u get a nice lens boost on your lenses.

I'm closing in on 50 lenses on Squidoo! The next evaluation for Giant Squid status (must have 50 quality lenses) is this Friday, so if "life" cooperates, I hope to make the cut. Life hasn't been cooperating recently, though, so I may have to wait until next time, but I'm really anxious to get that Giant Squid badge to display next to my name. I love Squidoo!

I've only just got into squidoo, and my first is 1 day old, hehe.
But I've been reading tons of guides and now i have two lenses, but only one shows up in the directories and stuff ^^
One is about making money (for beginners) and one is about getting pageviews for your lense. I will be making a few about beauty, clothing, and hair soon =]
I certainly know a lot about those topics and it'll be fun making them and doing some of my own research, too!
