How do you view God? Is she loving and compassionate or is she vengeful and jealous? Do you come willingly and joyfully before God in a spirit of love or do you stand before her quaking with fear? Is your worship based on the joy of creation or do you believe because you fear hell and damnation?

I definitely do not fear the Benovelent one who is full of grace and would guide us at all times. My worship is of gratitude and has no fear of damnation.
Our religious concept teaches me the value of ultimate surrender to God and I am not terribly disciplined except for saying one or two small prayers and offering a glass of milk to the Almighty every morning in gratitude of all his blessings.
I love the marvel of creation and am wonderstruck by this, I have fundamental faith in th ultimate goodness of humanity and am terribly moved when I read stories of intense devotion. eg-Meera or Andal who were terribly devoted to Lord Krishna and devoted themselves to Him. As I pointed out earlier I am very very thankful to God
I worship him in a spirit of joy and gratitude. When I am disturbed , or worried then I pray to Him in a spirit of faith that my problems would get solved.

Fear in our Bible means Respect,so if you love your God,you Respect them also.We also view our God as Father and Son and the Holy Spirit of the Two.

I love God and do not fear Him what so ever. Every now and then He has to punish to get us back on track, but that is what a loving father does. I give Him all the praise and glory. God bless

I think my God is someone who walks along with me in life and I converse with him as I do with any friend. Amazingly he listens too. I have felt always that in rough patches of life he carries me and sees me through them and if I am happy he just walks along with me making sure that I am watching my steps.

I think God is my bestfriend, my dad and actually everything. Before going to sleep I make sure I talk to him even though I'm very sleepy. I fear him, when I do bad things to others. I love him for everything that he gave me, the people around me, my life. I love him because he continues to shower me with blessings. God for me is my everything.

what a meaningful contrasting questions... for me, God is loving and compassionate. He can't be happy whenever his creature is in the state of godlessness. that's why, he sent his son to die in all people's behalf. By that, he may give us ETERNAL HAPPY LIFE!

Because the Bible says so. As a christian the only text we have is the bible so therefore we either believe all or none of it. Besides I see God as a protector and I guess I feel that is a male role. That is as honest as I know how to be.

I love God, since She is the Generator, Operator as well as Destructor. Actually everything happens in the universe is only a game, Her game. Only a great woman who have such a game LOL....

I view God as the most loving and compassionate I have known in my entire life (of course, who can be more than him?) I love GOD. I love him for fulfilling His promises in my life and for giving me free-will and for being merciful. I worship him based on the joy that He brings in my heart. It's not fear for me, it's more of a respect- You fear for being disobedient and that you anticipate punishment (but still some do not fear him even if they don't obey right?)

I so agree that God is all this. I love God for all he gives me, for the beauty of every living thing on this earth. I glory in the visions I see each day. I could not fear Him who loves me so much. I know that each trial I experience just brings me closer to Him and that when I get up that mountain, I am one step closer to Heaven and Christ Jesus. I am his bride and he is coming for me! How could I fear that?

I like the common placed "SHE and Her" in reference to God. God is a deity and can be anything you want. Furthermore I not only Love God but I fear him as well. He is all knowing, all powerful and anyone that is of this nature has my love and devotion.

I Love God and I do not Fear Him/Her. There is nothing to fear from God. All we have to fear is the reactions of our own karma. God does not punish us. It is our bad actions that punish us. So, why Fear God? God has been my own Inner Self for Eternity and will Forever Be. Why would I fear MySelf?

God is Love! Love is all there Is! My God is Absolute Love!
Absolute Love demands Absolutely Nothing!
My God demands Nothing. Therefore I have Nothing to Fear, (not hell or damnation) nothing to Worship, and nothing to Give but Love! (no tithing). I go willingly, and joyfully before My God, and I will be forever thankful to Her for all my Blessings!

God is a God of love! As my pastor says, God does not want us to just fear him. You cannot live for God out of just fear. There has to be a love for him. When I do something wrong I fear him. But I know that he will forgive me if I ask out of my heart and if I am sincere in asking. God has emotions just as we do but his are in a different way. When you love someone he loves that person 100 times more than you do. You cannot make it to heaven by just believing in him. You have to have a relationship with him. He wants for your soul to love him. To truly know God you must know his mercy and his love. Because today he is a God of mercy. He is not in the role of judge as of yet.

I love , fear and respect God because he is great and I some time worry about my mistakes that it will upset him. I must often fear to upset God if I may put it this way because I love him and worry how he will feel about me.

I think you have quite a theatrical view of God, I myself am not so sure how I view...it. I always find it weird how people make their minds up about God, and I try to keep an open mind. I was raised Catholic but don't practice it, and try not to have too many limiting ideas of the divine spirit. I view god positively but am sometimes a little bothered on how some religions try to paint God.
