My brother and I started a small business around 4 years ago.We were partners, he as the financial capitalist, I as an industrial capitalist.
To be able to put up the business, my brother used his money to start, and I used my experience and expertise in the industry as my capital. We survived for a year and a half.I did not get payment for a year for my services, of course that is my contribution. Instead,of paying the money to people and services,my brother and I agreed to use the money for buying office equipment.
Unfortunately, my brother who is my business partner died very unexpectedly.
Now, his wife is asking all the things my brother bought for the business. Though I have my one year service and money on everything. I refuse to give it, but she is demanding for payment. But I believe that I have my investment there..
Would you pay for something you have worked for, something similar to my situation? Or would you pay for something you think you have the right to own because you have worked hard for it?
