It's my daughter's birthday next week. And I want to surprise her with something special. What should it be ? A big cake or new doll ? A greeting crafted by me or a new dress ? Do you have any suggession ? You remember any such special birthday of your kid ?

Know what your kids like.. what are their interest materially and emotionally.. because it is not worth surprising a kid if you dont know if they will be happy or not..Me, i always ask them what they want for their special day and how they want to spend it so then i know they are going to happy coz they made their own choices.

It will depend on how old is your daughter and what is her interest. I have a 3 year old daughter. During her third birthday, she got a chest full of dress up clothes and after that, on occasions, we will give her a dress from Disney store. Now she got all the Disney Princesses outfits and the Barbie movie outfits. At this age, she can appreciate already what she is getting.
If your daughter loves toys, then a new doll would be great.
