I would say its intergration in to .net is the is a step in the right direction but I can't see it being replaced. SunOS is based on it and its still the best arch independent language as much I loath saying that.

Yeah, you are absolutely on the right track that Java will no longer use for Internet purposes. As Microsoft .net makes it easy to build your site using .net like Visual web developer in which we can make our site using toolbox without much writing code...

I do agree that JAVA is evergreen. No microsoft or any other product can replace java completely, because Java is unique in its own.
