I was mad to say the least!!!
I saved up and bought myself a good printer, then I was lucky and my son treated me to a new laptop...I thought I was in heaven!!!
Only to find out that the printer wasnt compatible with windows vista!!!!!!!!
So start saving again Ruby!!!!

I regret to hear that. I heard that vista is not compatible also with other drivers not just for printer.

I think Windows xp is better than windows vista as xp is most common and easy to use and its look and style is very impressive that attracts people even after 6 years...

I like XP alot better than vista. I have vista on my laptop and both my parents have vista on their laptops. But I do still have XP on my desktop. I really dont see a big difference in the two. I know that vista has better security fetures, which in my opinion can get annoying at times. Also vista has a better search feature to it which is one good thing about vista. But for now I would stick to XP. If you plain on buying a new computer pretty much all of them come with vista pre installed already.

Hands down XP is at the moment. IF MS will get its act together and get vista fixed it has the potential to be a far superior home system, but that all depends on them getting their act together. My rule of thumb is don't buy an OS until sp2 is released.
